If your child is referred to CAMHS, they will be contacted by us as soon as possible. We look at the information we receive and a decision is made about how quickly we need to contact them. This is normally within a week.
We will listen to your child to understand. Once we understand what support they might benefit from, we will take steps to help them feel better and thrive. This might include:
- giving advice to support them
- helping them get to the right place and person to support them
