Beverley will join the Trust from Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust, where she has been their Executive Director of Nursing, Professions and Operations since June 2020. She is currently on secondment with NHS England.
Having worked as a mental health nurse for over 38 years, Beverley has held a range of senior nursing and quality governance roles across the NHS. She has managed acute mental health wards and specialised for some years in eating disorders and in a nurse-led service in the community.
Brent Kilmurray, chief executive of the Trust, said: “Beverley is well known and respected in the NHS particularly in mental health and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and extensive experience which will be invaluable to us.
“She will make a great addition to the Trust’s Board and will play a pivotal role as we continue delivering on Our Journey to Change, and supporting our unrelenting focus on patient safety and better outcomes for local people.”
Beverley added: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining TEWV at such an important time, and really looking forward to working with colleagues across the organisation to deliver the best care for people that use our services and the communities we serve.
“I had the privilege of meeting staff as well as patients, carers and their families through the recruitment process, and I am excited about the opportunity to use their experience and feedback to really drive change.”
Beverley will formally join the Trust in early May 2023, allowing a comprehensive handover with Director of Nursing, Elizabeth Moody, who is due to retire in the summer.
