The event, which takes place at the Springwood Unit in Malton Hospital this Thursday (27 June) from 10am until 4pm, is an ideal opportunity to find out more about the role of a healthcare assistant working in NHS mental health services.
Meet the team
The Springwood Unit provides specialist care to people living with dementia. Karen Ashby, Springwood’s modern matron, said:
“We would encourage anyone interested in working with older people in an NHS mental health trust to come and meet our friendly team on Thursday.
“We can tell them more about the role of a healthcare assistant and how mental health nursing can support patients to live fulfilling lives and make a real difference.
“The event is perfect for anyone who is thinking of working in the healthcare sector or changing careers. It’s a great time for them to apply for a role with us and take their first step into a rewarding career.
“They’ll be joining a supportive, inclusive and diverse team, in a Trust that offers a range of attractive benefits and an excellent work-life balance.”
She added: “We will support them in their training and development, so they don’t need any specific qualifications or experience, just a passion for helping others.”
Apply for a rewarding role
The Springwood Unit has a variety of current vacancies and bank positions. Visitors to the event, who are interested, can even apply for a job on the day. Experienced staff will be available to support them in completing and submitting an application form.
The event is a drop in between 10am and 4pm and no booking is required. For more information telephone 01653 616000.
