We have responded to transformations across the NHS and developed a new organisational structure to link in to the two Integrated Care Systems in our area. This has led to the creation of our two care groups;
- Durham, Tees Valley and forensics services (our secure inpatient services and the services we provide within the health and justice system)
- North Yorkshire, York and Selby
We are now looking for people to recruit into the following roles:
The director of therapies is accountable for providing professional leadership to psychological professions, allied health professions, social workers, peer workers, IPS and chaplaincy.
Working with the director of therapies and our existing group director of therapies for North Yorkshire, York and Selby this post holder will be an integral part of the Care Group Board. The Board has shared accountability and responsibility for the delivery of clinical services, making sure services provide the highest quality outcomes and experience for people.
Care group director (secure inpatient services)
The care group director (secure inpatient services) will be an important member of the Care Group Board. They will have accountability and responsibility for operational services, making sure they provide the best outcomes and experience for patients and carers. The director will also be responsible for the culture of the services which should reflect our values of respect, compassion and responsibility and give staff the best possible experience while working for the trust.
The two lived experience directors will work closely with colleagues in other lived experience roles, as well as partners such as participation groups, networks of patients and carers across the organisation and people and groups from the communities we serve. We have increased our peer worker representation. The lived experience director roles represent a clear commitment to these staff members and our dedication to ensuring lived experience is represented at the highest levels of the organisation.
Ann Bridges, Executive Director of Corporate Affairs and Involvement said: “It’s vital the experience of living through mental health or with a learning disability is represented in our most strategic conversations. This is part of a new vision for co-creation, as both directors will have responsibility over a thriving community of patient and carer involvement partners.
“As the lived experience director you will ensure a breadth of knowledge, experience and perspectives are brought to discussions and decision making. This will transform the way we provide care and foster inspirational leadership to drive improvement.”
Group Directors of nursing and quality
The post holders will play a critical role in the future development and leadership of our nursing workforce. They will work in a collective and compassionate way with a multi-professional team to deliver care and services. As a member of the newly established Care Group Board they will be responsible for internal quality, professional standards and the delivery of high-quality patient centred care.
Our general managers will form a senior collective leadership operating as the link between specialism and geographical locations. Decision making will be devolved and the general managers will help develop the talents of people within the care group, improve the quality of care and ensure we deliver on the commitments set out in Our Journey to Change. The post holder will have shared accountability and responsibility for operational services, ensuring they provide the best outcomes and experience for patients and carers, and making sure strategic objectives are set and achieved.
