Getting the right help and support early on for your mental health and emotional wellbeing can make a huge difference and prevent things getting worse.
Across the Tees Valley / County Durham / North Yorkshire and York, NHS, voluntary sector and wider organisations and services are working together to transform the way mental health care and support is delivered.
The aim is to transform the way mental health care and support is delivered in your local area. It’s called the Community Mental Health Transformation Programme. Part of this will mean developing what we already have and part of this will mean finding a new and better way to support you. Within your area you can help shape what these plans look like. We are keen to hear from patients, carers, multi-agency organisations, GPs and the public to gather lots of ideas and options.
The Community Mental Health Transformation Programme will really help us to build on all the work completed in localities with partners through the Right Care Right Place programme.
Over the next three to five years we hope you’ll see improvements. We hope you will begin to find it easier to know where to turn for mental health support. We hope you’ll make use of the many amazing organisations, groups and services that are there for you. We hope all this encourages you to ask for help and to talk about how you are feeling.
There will be lots of opportunities to get involved. See what’s happening in your area:
