Support staff Eg. Housekeeper or Porter
Porter/Housekeepers are responsible to provide and maintain cleaning and catering services as part of the Hotel Services team to office, patient and communal areas within the Trust. Ensuring a clean, safe and supportive environment for staff and patients working towards their recovery. You will need a level 2 in Food hygiene or be willing to work towards this within a given timescale.
- Need to achieve level 2 in Food hygiene.
Trainee Health Care Support Worker
Trainee Health Care Support Workers do not require specific qualifications but motivation to achieve The Care Certificate and level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care and also some relevant experience would be required . You will work as part of a team providing high quality and compassionate care to individuals. You will carry out well-defined routine clinical duties like monitoring an individual’s mental health and physical conditions (by observing the patients interactions with others, their whereabouts on the ward and checking things like blood pressure, temperature or weight), checking on their overall progress, comfort and wellbeing within the ward and reporting back to senior members of staff.
- Needs to achieve care certificate, level 2/3 Health and &Social Care and Maths and English level 1/2.
Healthcare Support Worker and Community Healthcare Support Worker
Health Care Support Worker/ Community Health Care support Workers help registered practitioners deliver healthcare services to people. As an experienced support worker, you carry out a range of clinical and non-clinical healthcare or therapeutic tasks and interventions under the direct or indirect supervision.
- Needs to achieve English and Maths at GCSE/ Key skills 2 (and level 3 in H&S to progress to become RN via RNDA rather than via Nursing Associate Apprenticeship route)
Nursing Associate
The Nursing Associate is a highly trained support role to deliver effective, safe and responsive nursing care in and across a wide range of health and care settings. The Nursing Associates work independently, and with others, under the leadership and direction of a Registered Nurse within defined parameters, to deliver care in line with an agreed plan. They are entered on the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) register.
- Needs to achieve foundation degree at Level 5.
Associate Practitioner
Associate Practitioners work at a level above that of Healthcare Support Workers and have a more in-depth understanding about factors that influence health and ill-health. Associate Practitioners work as part of the wider health and social care team and have direct contact with patients, service users or clients providing high quality and compassionate care.
- Needs to achieve foundation degree at Level 5.
Registered Nurse
The Registered Nurse works in a range of different roles within Wards, Prisons and a large variety of Community settings
Registered nurses are a key part of the multidisciplinary teams that meet the health and care needs of patients and service users within Mental Health and Learning Disability Services.
- Needs to achieve Registered Nurse Degree at Level 6.
Clinical Lead Nurse
The Clinical Lead is an experienced nurse who is caring and creative in providing leadership to the nursing and care teams. A Registered Nurse with the ability to lead a team of care staff. Utilising clinical skills to provide guidance and support to all team members.
- Needs to achieve a Leadership and Management recognized qualification/ post graduate qualification in a relevant area at Level 6/7.
Corporate Specialist Nurse
Corporate services specialist Nurses can use their specialist skills, experience and knowledge to support both clinical and non-clinical areas. A Specialist Nurse is a Registered Nurse who then continues further training in a specific area such as: Clinical Research, Practice Educator, Safeguarding etc.
- Needs to achieve a Leadership and Management recognized qualification/ post graduate qualification in a relevant area at level 6/7.
Community Psychiatric Nurse
Community Psychiatric Nurses have advanced clinical assessment skills in their own specialist areas (AMH, CAMHS, MHSOP, ALD etc). They can be a part of a large variety of teams who perform varied and specialist assessment and interventions in many community settings. They provide increasingly complex care for patients and support family members.
- Needs to achieve a post graduate qualification in a clinically relevant area at Level 6/7.
Ward Manager or Team Manager
Responsible for the overall operational leadership of a team. Providing effective leadership, and management having an overview of Rosters, HR and maintaining operational responsibility for effective capacity and demand within the service.
- Needs to achieve a post graduate diploma in Leadership and Management Level 7.
Advanced Nurse Practitioner
Advanced Nurse Practitioners will have the relevant clinical experience and skills to provide expert clinical knowledge at an advanced level. They will be responsible for clinical leadership within a team.
- Need to achieve a Masters degree in a relevant clinical field of practice and a qualification in non-medical prescribing or willingness to undertake within agreed timescale
Practice Development Manager
Ensuring the services provide a progressive learning and development environment for all grades of staff including temporary staff. This practitioner must ensure a high standard of care delivery through specialist knowledge and skills in clinical practice, providing advice, mentoring, supervision and training across services. Will represent the head of nursing or professional lead as required.
One of the main responsibilities is to develop the capability of the locality workforce, to ensure that it is fit for practice and purpose
Requirements:
- Current professional registration with professional body
- Professional knowledge acquired through degree/diploma supplemented by
- specialist training or equivalent experience to master’s level equivalent
- Recognised clinical teaching qualification or equivalent clinical mentoring and teaching experience
- Leadership qualification
- Extensive experience working with people with complex mental ill health or learning disabilities in an inpatient or community environment.
- Extensive experience working collaboratively with service users and their families/carers
- Extensive experience in a clinical nurse leadership role
- Extensive experience providing clinical supervision, mentoring and teaching to healthcare professionals and students.
Modern Matron
You will be a professional role model, demonstrating flexibility, visibility, and excellent communication skills to patients, ensuring patients receive optimal care at all times and supporting staff, playing a key role in influencing and supporting wider strategic drivers. You will have the ability to work as a team leader whilst retaining a key leadership role within the senior leadership team.
- Need to have a Masters level Degree in a relevant field of practice.
- A Recognised clinical teaching qualification or equivalent clinical mentoring and teaching experience
- And a leadership and management qualification or willingness to work towards. Qualification must be achieved within agreed timescale.
Associate Nurse Consultant
The Associate Nurse Consultant will be an experienced practitioner who is able to demonstrate a very high degree of personal and professional skill in the delivery of complex care to individuals within your specialist area as well as providing clinical supervision to Nurses with advanced skills.

Professional Lead
The Associate Director of Nursing plays a critical role in the future development and leadership of our nursing workforce. Working alongside the Care Group Director and the wider leadership team they are responsible for internal quality, professional standards and the delivery of high-quality patient centred care. They will provide professional advice on nursing matters. This person will be an experienced senior nurse and leader and will be responsible for the line management of as well as providing professional supervision, guidance and appraisal to Modern Matrons and the practice development practitioners.
They will have an excellent track record of success at a senior level within a large and complex organisation, together with experience of partnership working with external agencies. They will deputise for the Director/Deputy Director of Nursing and Governance and Group Nurse Director at relevant forums both internally and external to the Trust as required.
Must have relevant Post-basic clinical qualification(s) with a professional portfolio supporting this with evidence of-
- Analytical and synthetical level intellectual skills
- Advanced transactional management skills and knowledge of range of models of management
- Advanced transformational leadership knowledge, skills and competencies together with understanding of models of leadership
- Understanding of models of change management and service improvement
- Understanding of the purpose and application of research and audit through academic study or experiential learning and application
- A recognised teaching qualification and demonstration of teaching and education experience
- Significant experience in a senior management role (above band 7/ ward manager level)

Nurse Consultant
The Nurse Consultant will be responsible for the development of innovative nursing practices and provision of specialist advice within their field. They will be an educational resource to all members of the MDT and the wider trust. They will facilitate the development of nurses and healthcare staff in order to improve the patient experience.
As a Responsible Clinician the Nurse Consultant will have overall responsibility for care and treatment for service users being assessed and treated under the Mental Health Act.

Gare Group Director of Nursing and Quality
Working as part of a Senior Leadership Team, this post is a key leader with management and clinical expertise who will be working together to provide leadership and manage services at Care Group level.
They will contribute to the strategic vision of the Trust, in the identification of the Trust’s strategic objectives and goals.
They will ensure effective quality and assurance and systems are embedded across the Care Group and that processes for managing risk and escalation are in place.
They will ensure that all service developments comply with NICE and Care Quality Commission requirements and standards of best practice (or equivalent requirements) and create a learning environment / culture which promotes evidence-based reflective practice and research and development.

The Chief Nurse has a responsibility to the Trust Board to provide robust triangulated evidence regarding professional nursing, midwifery and allied health workforce issues as well as intelligence on the quality of nursing care so that the Trust Board may make informed and sound decisions in fulfilling their joint responsibility regarding quality assurance and patient safety.
A Chief Nurse has the overall responsibility for overseeing the nursing staff and nursing operations of their organization. Their duties include evaluating and directing all nursing employees, establishing goals for the wider nursing teams and creating and enforcing compliant healthcare policies.
